Pacific Parrotlets

These fascinating little darlings are a true parrot. Often called The Pocket Parrot, they are so tiny that they can fit in your pocket.

Measuring about 5 inches long, they will delight you with their intelligences and clownish energy. They are capable of learning to talk.

Parrotlet Chick

In the wild the Parrotlets shares habitat with their larger cousin, the Amazon Parrot, and will be found in western parts of Mexico, Brazil, and the west coast of South America. They eat berries, flower blossoms, and fruits.

Unlike their larger cousins, they are sexually dimorphic, which means you tell can male from female by their coloring. The male Parrotlet has a royal blue rump, the same blue on their wings, blue around their eyes resembling a little mask. A single Parrotlet can make a wonderful pet. If you keep two or more together they tend to bond to each other, but there is always those exceptions to the rule.

Along with our Pacific Parrotlets, we also raise Green Rumped Parrotlets. To see more pictures of Parrotlets click here.
